  1. I am very blessed that you found my blog, babyboomersandmore.wordpress.com. It truly seems as though we both have much to say in support of the many vulnerable adults within our midst who need the type of advocacy that you are promoting. As one of the many volunteer Certified Long Term Care Ombudsmen in Washington State, advocacy is our primary goal. I will definitely follow your blog and I look forward to receiving comments from you and all those who tap into my blog. It’s in sharing our experiences, and our passion for the elderly, that we can all benefit the most. Isn’t it wonderful that we can be connected yet live so very far away from each other? Until later! Boomer 98053, Irene.

  3. Lark, I tried to respond to your question but I’m not sure it posted…so I will run it down on your blog. First of all, this blog is amazing! Thank you for what you are doing!! My husband and I cared for my grandpa, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, for 5 1/2 years with our little family. I had a toddler and was pregnant with our 2nd when we moved in to care for him. We all lived together until Grandpa passed away in his room right upstairs from where I now write this. It was intense and amazing. I am now writing a memoir of our experience…being sandwiched between elderly and children…phew.
I now have my own business caring for elderly, nonmedical home care. I started it a few years before he passed away.

  4. Dear Sir/Madam,

For over 28 years the Foundation Aiding The Elderly http://www.4fate.org has assisted over 3000 families fighting the abuse of loved ones in Nursing Homes, Assisted Living and Acute Hospitals.
We do not charge anyone for our services.

A link to FATE on your resources page would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Harris
